A clear scope.
A closer view of the roofline can help identify visible chimney and roof defects without immediately arranging scaffold access.
AKM drone surveys support chimney and roof repair enquiries across Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall and Exeter. We review the visible condition and discuss what the images show. Drone access depends on the location, weather and flight conditions.
Our roof surveys and chimney inspections focus on visible external condition. We also take enquiries for property purchase and sale surveys and insurance evidence, with the required images and scope agreed before the visit.
You don’t usually need to be home
Most external drone surveys can be carried out without you being at the property. We will confirm any access arrangements with you beforehand. If access to your garden or another private area is needed, we will arrange this in advance.
Please include the full property address, including postcode, in your enquiry so we can identify the correct building and assess the location. Surveys are subject to suitable weather, flight conditions and any permissions required.

Your questions.
Answered.
Is a quotation survey free?
Drone surveys at the repair quotation stage are offered free where suitable. Standalone surveys, property purchase or sale inspections and insurance evidence are quoted separately.
Can a drone survey identify every defect?
No. It shows visible external details and does not replace a structural survey or reveal hidden defects. We explain the limitations of the images and any further inspection needed.
